Didn't sleep well last night but I've still been fairly productive this morning.
I've tidied the kitchen and sorted out the bags in the front garden that had the tomatoes in them.

The postman brought my London - Floris - London tee shirt!

He also brought a thumb brace I ordered on Sunday - not so useful though now my thumb is healing but already I can feel the benefit.

After a total hold time of 8 hours, which I was only held for 5 due to getting the control late, LEL has been cancelled due to bad weather on the hills

Arrived into the Louth control, and had some excellent apple crumble, there is going to be a storm update at 10:30 so I'm waiting for that.

Good morning from Cambridge!

What a strange 24 hours it's been

I got to the Cycling event control at 9am yesterday as anticipated & spent a really great day with other volunteers, helping cyclists from across the globe in their challenge to ride from London to Edinburgh & back.
The food was excellent & the weather was kind.
The riders will be facing some challenging conditions as they head north into the storm over the next couple of days.

I was aware that the car was using battery faster than I'd expected but the chargers at the control weren't working, and I struggled to find another on my way to collect Sacha from her sister's place (brain freeze from tiredness).
In the end we got a quick charge near Bishops Stortford which should get us home.

Sacha had a dreadful night with her knee and hip hurting badly - I've managed to get her a GP appointment for tomorrow

After a decent breakfast we can now head home.
