I do hope I fare better than the recent 300 I failed
Last time I rode the Llanfairpwllgwyngyll gogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch 400 I bailed at 260 after being sick and spent a very cold night in a bus shelter
In other news it was my fastest commute ever this morning so is guess I am fairly fit so who knows

Instead of trying to go somewhere specific and back yesterday I rode a meandering route that joins up some of the best (& quietist) bits of NW Norfolk. For such a small area the variation in the terrain is surprising. And obvs there's a mandatory trip to the seaside (which won't be quiet in another month or so!)
Need to re enable my Warmshowers account as open for guests. Happy to act as a tour guide to any #BikeTooter types who want to camp in the garden.
Returned to #Düsseldorf after a great Flèche Allemagne. Weather was favourable, but our „Albert Richter Collective“ Team saw one DNS and one DNF. It was great meeting many fellow #randonneurs . Thanks to #Audax Randonneurs Allemagne for organizing this #brevet 🙏.
#DeutscheBahn operates an InterCity #train between Eisenach and Düsseldorf (IC 2152). The last wagon was packed with snoring and perhaps a little bit smelling randonneurs 😇
A few words and pictures about riding and helping out a bit in this years Oasts and Coasts 300 km audax.
I volunteered to route check and help out at one of the controls on this years Oasts and Coasts 300km audax and so it came to be I completed the helpers ride last weekend. Oasts and Coasts 300 km There’s about 3200m of climbing overall and close enough to 1900m of that is in the first 120km. Regardless it’s the flatter sections of this event I always find more of a challenge. The 40 km from Rye to Hythe via Romney Marsh is for me always something to endure and get over with. Typically you’re riding into the wind for all or at least much of the way. Last weekend it was not so bad. Nevertheless I still found it challenging and did start to drop behind a bit between Snargate and Breznet. Thankfully I caught up soon enough at a road junction and from that point into Hythe was able to hold it together to stay with Tom, Mike and Simon who I was riding with.
Helping out this morning at the start of today's AUK's Oasts and Coasts 300km randonnée.
