Preparing to teach legal research and writing for the first time in awhile. I'm not a Bluebook fan but, with a new edition, updated my tab system from the last edition I used heavily and upped my color game! The system is a money spinner for elite law schools. So glad to see Illinois' lenient citation approach. I'm hoping to help shift students to the free Indigo Book (https://indigobook.github.io/) and plug public domain citation formats.

What if all #libraries folks took off for a day? #publiclibraries stop being childcare & tech support. #academiclibraries have faculty negotiate with publishers for research journals. Lawyers do their LexisNexis searches w/o #lawlibraries & doctors conduct systematic reviews on treatment efficacy w/o #medicallibraries help. Tech engineers do patent searches because #corporatelibraries are empty. All of this and more. What about a week?
Would #library professions deserve reasonable wages then?

You'd be surprised at some of the research that law librarians do for their patrons.
