AGI - Gli Stati Uniti hanno autorizzato temporaneamente la vendita di petrolio russo immagazzinato sulle navi, a causa dell'impennata dei prezzi dall'inizio della guerra in Iran. The United States has temporarily authorized the sale of Russian oil stored on ships, due to the surge in prices since the start of the war in Iran. The U.S. Treasury Department announced this. The department issued a license authorizing the sale, until April 11th, of Russian crude oil and petroleum products loaded onto ships before 00:01 on March 12th.
“No Benefit to Russia”
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that hundreds of millions of barrels of oil could be put on the market by removing sanctions on Russia. In a post on X, Bessent declared that the revocation of sanctions would not bring a significant benefit to Russia.
The exemptions from sanctions imposed on Russia by the U.S. Treasury Department will allow the sale and delivery worldwide of all Russian oil currently loaded on ships. Russia’s Position on the Energy Market
Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev stated that the global energy market “cannot remain stable” without Russian oil. His statement comes shortly after the United States temporarily authorized the sale of Russian oil stored on ships, with an exemption to sanctions on Moscow.
“The United States is in effect recognizing the obvious: without Russian oil, the global energy market cannot remain stable,” Dmitriev wrote on Telegram, in a context of soaring crude oil prices since the start of the war in the Middle East and the Gulf.
