I am still pretty new at this, but figured I would give it a go since a few friends and students told me I should just make some videos about the stuff I make.
The idea of doing this completely off of YouTube in a decentralized, anti YouTube production value manner excites me.
My voiceover for my first video completely didn't work- hence the V2.2.... about to go off the grid camping for a few days :)

I escaped from NYC with @alifeeney to go high up in the Mountains of Colorado. That photo was taken atop the Continental Divide, 12,000 feet up.
When we are not hiking, I have had time to play with this Web Blink Backpack for transformers. Been wanting to play more with Kicad and ESP 32s. Really excited to get some PCBs made- its been years since I last did with EAGLE cad.
I just got some test parts today- I don't think the WAGO connectors I got are gonna work.
"Illicit Devices" because everyone seems to not like when I put 120VAC on the board next to the little 3volt DC power. I just want there to be one plug- and we are feeding AC into the transformer anyways so.... I did run all the line voltage wires on the back- planning on VHB taping the backpack to the transformer.
The Zettler Cheddar cheese block I ordered has 100- 240volt input... so this may work outside of the US.

Snagged some photos of the two "N"s after pumping them (but before dipping in black paint). You can see the glass and electrodes get pretty toasty on that bombarder- basically overpowering the tube to heat it up- all the impurities are burned off an sucked out. When the molecules left behind cool off- they contract- making the vacuum even better in the tube before the argon is added :).
Not too much difference in the ANs. I guess I could have made them the same in hindsight. Ah well, it's all up now in the castle- working to set the fancy vibes to sell the fancy things to the fancy folks. And I am on the other side of the country North of Seattle, headed deep in the woods to Pilchuck Glass School :).

JamesAkersIt took me years, but I finally created a handle for this lil cheap- O (but effective) induction heater. I wanted it to heat electrodes while under vacuum (doing so makes the tube run better) and oven pumping- but since I bombard pretty much everything- I haven't really needed it. This one is super cheap I paid like, $60 for the ATX power supply and $40 for the induction heater board off ebay. 500 watts 12vdc is a nice tool!

I learned something making these #neon #mycelium for #DebCzeresko . When bombarding the tubes to clean them we typically add a curled piece of #paper as a guage and tell the bombardier when the tube is hot. The papers on these little 8mm tubes incinerated (good), but the heat from the burning paper was enough to cause the already heated glass to suck in- at which point it still lit from the hot conductive glass . #learning #handmade #itselectric #bombard #incinerate #nerd #brooklyn #nyc #glass
Picked up where I left off last year and with bending this #zooted #doodle. I was happy not to mess up and break it- first one I have made like that, all zooted (except the Ruby red)! Definitely nice to have one #survive - all the weld-bends must be perfect!

A look into a custom sound reactive neon controller I am making for Sarah Ema Friedland. You can buy these readymade- but I find the daisy chained little amps of the cd4049 to be tunable to the amplitudes of many different input signals- so it can blink neon a bit more responsively than the readymade ones.
Already making a case for it so it's hookups aren't just the alligator clips🙃.
