"'Israel' hits rescue zone in South Lebanon 3 times, kills 3 rescuers

Medical teams responding to an emergency in Mayfadoun were hit in successive attacks, killing multiple paramedics and raising concerns over the safety of rescue operations.

Israeli occupation forces carried out three consecutive strikes targeting ambulance teams in the town of Mayfadoun in Lebanon’s Nabatieh district, according to a statement issued by the Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

The attacks, according to the statement, killed three paramedics and injured six others, with one paramedic missing and unaccounted for.

The Ministry said the first ambulance team, affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority, was struck while attempting to evacuate wounded people, killing one paramedic and leaving another missing.

As a second ambulance from the same Health Authority arrived to assist the initial team, it was also hit, resulting in injuries to three paramedics."
