You know, the really rude thing about Gumroad switching to a $100 USD minimum payout is not the amount itself, but the fact that they made the change without telling those of us who have been paying them 8–10% of every transaction for many years.

There should have been one last payout with a notification about the change from that point on.

It's one thing to change the rules, and quite another to slap people in the face without so much as a 'sorry but this is why'.

Mmm, you must be on a different intartube.

The vast majority of actual content on the web is fine. Since this is mostly #Wikipedia https://wikipedia.org and The Internet #Archive https://archive.org, plus #OSM (both openstreetmap.org and openseamap.org) #IndieWeb, and then a very very long tail.

And as soon as one gets outside 'web', to things like email, repos, xmpp, fora, storage, streams, IoT & lora, mesh, …

Who has time for corpos who do not want your business?
