ロシア国営原子力企業ロスアトムのCEO 、アレクセイ・リハチョフ氏は、火曜夜に発電所の運転ユニット近くにある計測機器やセンサーを収容する施設に隣接する区域が被災したと述べた。同氏によると、死傷者はなく、放射線レベルは正常範囲内だったという。
