Are you using an #iPhone and want to not have to ever click a #Twitter link again ?
I created an #iOSShortcut that converts x.com links to xcancel.com links.
If you don’t know about xcancel yet, it allows you to view Twitter without being logged in and having to see all the stupid ass pop-ups that Twitter throws in your face. You can also see the replies, which might be a bad thing.

Tired of enabling/disabling screen orientation every time you switch app on your iPhone or iPad? You can totally automate that using the shortcut app:-
Been working on using Instagram less and less for a while. I'm down to an average of ~35 minutes a day (down from 43 minutes 4 weeks ago, and over an hour a couple months ago).
This method for setting an app timer via shortcuts has been super helpful for me: https://www.joshvickerson.com/posts/setting-app-time-limits-on-ios-using-shortcuts/
So I'm biting granite trying to create an #automation which will set / clear my @tailscale exit-node either based on my iPhone's current SSID/BSSID or alternatively when entering/exiting a geofence.
Tools at my disposal:
• Tailscale client on-device so anything Tailscale offers
• iOS #ShortcutsApp
• @pushcut including Automation server
• #HomeAssistant
• evil code witch skills (I know my way around system & server administration as well as app development and I'm comfortable in a terminal)
iOS Shortcut automations could in theory solve the problem but to protect their user's privacy Apple enforces a "Running your automation" banner-notification whenever an automation triggers on geofence / wifi connect/disconnect - I don't want that banner.
Pushcut can't run on-device actions without displaying a notification, though I'd be fine with a "unknown wifi, enable exit node?" popup.
HomeAssistant knows my phones SSID but it updates at a glacial frequency so that one is pretty much useless.
Tailscale on it's own has great ACLs and Grants as well as on-demand connection which would solve half of my issue but they don't support on-demand exit-nodes.
So none of the three above is able to solve the problem in a satisfying way and I'm at my knowledge's end here but up for suggestions. I'd even go as far as run my own MDM (again) if that would allow me to have the simple scenario of "always connected to tailscale, force automated use of an exit-node when connected to an unknown wifi".

This iOS shortcut is the kind of nerd stuff I didn’t knew I need, but I do. I totally do.
