I've been looking at my old #AmateurRadio logbooks.
I'm astonished at how much morse I used to do between 1984 & 1986 - mostly contests but still! I find CW terrifying now, but perhaps I should see if I've still got what it takes.
The amount of local activity on 2m and 10m (yes local) was a surprise to me looking back as well. I can't raise anyone on 144MHz these days!
I'm trying to work out what rig I was using on 4m (70MHz) at the time as well - it could have been a crystal controlled Pye box.
Spencer Kelly on #BBC #MorningLive just now demonstrating a tracker and how it "plays a tune" when you locate it with your phone.
A tune?
It was quite clearly shouting "HERE" in #morse code! Nice.
