🏴 🚩 1886-1927-2025. The same state. The same fascist method 🚩 🏴

An impressive article by Kim Kelly places the Prairieland conviction in historical context and spans the arc of eight activists, in Chicago in 1886, who were allegedly part of the "Haymarket Uprising".

Just being associated with anarchism was enough to make a man appear guilty, and in the end, four of the eight men hung for it.

It tells the story of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, Italian anarchists, who ended on the gallows in 1927.

Antifa is not a crime or a criminal organization, it never has been. Antifa is necessary in a world that is globally ruled, threatened and dominated by fascists.

From Haymarket to Prairieland: How dissent has unleashed the long arm of the law

The Prairieland sentencing has dark historical parallels, Kim Kelly writes. But we can change the end of the current story.

July 11th Citizens Bank: Stop Funding Cruelty Limerick · Mobilize

🚨🚨 Date Change for July 2026 📅 Join us Saturday, July 11th, at 11 AM as we come together across Pennsylvania to send a message to Citizens Bank and raise awareness in our communities about Citizen’s role in supporting for-profit detention operators. Citizens Financial Group, through subsidiaries like Citizens Bank, has long financed private prison and detention operators despite decades of allegations of abuse, neglect, forced labor, and fraud. Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group have caused widespread harm — including wrongful deaths, medical neglect, and exploitation. Right here in Pennsylvania, GEO operates the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast, just three hours from Montgomery County. Join us-- and others statewide-- to tell Citizens Bank that we want them to stop supporting cruelty. We would like to hold actions at more branch locations based on interest.

Know-Your-Rights Outreach: Help Businesses Support Immigrant Communities · Mobilize

Blue Turn Indivisible is partnering with Indivisible Palo Alto Plus to help Mountain View businesses learn about their rights and practical steps they can take to support immigrant employees, customers, and neighbors. Many businesses want to help but aren't sure what they can do. One simple step is clearly marking **employee-only areas**, which can help deter ICE from entering non-public spaces. We'll provide the signs, information, and resources. We'll meet in the park for a **short training and practice session**, then head out in small groups to visit local businesses. You'll receive talking points, flyers, and signs to distribute. Your job is simply to talk with business owners, answer basic questions, and let them know what resources are available. **Never canvassed before? Perfect.** We'll show you everything you need to know. Canvassing shifts last approximately 1.5–2 hours. ## What to Bring - Comfortable walking shoes - Water - A charged phone - A tote to more easily carry the materials

This protest has moved to the Nationwide headquarters building, 1 E. Nationwide Blvd., Columbus, Ohio. We'll be on the High Street side of the building. We are protesting here because Nationwide Realty Investors, a subsidiary, is currently renting office space to ICE at 774 Park Meadow Rd in Westerville, Ohio. There is some street parking in the area and a number of parking garages. We provide the signs, which have red lettering on a white background and say, “Stop the Cruelty.” We all use the same sign to maximize visual impact. We are a silent protest, although we do talk among ourselves. Everyone is welcome!

Summer Huddle: Stand With Our Immigrant Neighbors! · Mobilize

Friends, neighbors, concerned citizens — Federal immigration policy keeps shifting, and the cruelty keeps escalating. It may not be in the news every day, but our immigrant neighbors and friends continue to face enormous challenges–in their communities and workplaces, financially, emotionally, legally. **In moments like this, "the people" can't be bystanders — we're called to stand up, speak out, and protect the dignity and rights of our neighbors and friends.** ### Join Concord Indivisible and First Parish Immigration Justice Task Force for our Summer Huddle. We're bringing together a panel of attorneys and advocates working on the front lines of immigrant rights to help us understand what's really happening — and, just as importantly, what we can do about it. This isn't just a discussion; it's a call to action with concrete, specific steps for how each of us can help. **Moderator:** Luis Marentes — Emeriti Faculty, Spanish and Portuguese Studies, UMass Amherst. **Panelists:** - Claudia Torres — Attorney, Justice at Work, with a background in workers' rights and a deep commitment to advancing social justice and collective well-being - Julia Schlozman — Senior Staff Attorney, JALSA (Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action), deeply involved in legislative and policy work with a focus on immigration. - Leela Ramachandran– Co-Director of the MetroWest Works Center (Casa) - Jairo, a client of Casa. This is a moment for community — to learn, to connect, and to find our footing together. Come with your questions. Come with your concern. **Come ready to act.** And of course, we'll have plenty of summer pie, iced tea, and good company. 🥧🧊 ### We need you. Please join us.

De-ICE Citizens Bank Edison NJ - Coordinated Action · Mobilize

Join Indivisible Central NJ and Indivisible Highland Park NJ and thousands of people across the country to send Citizens Bank a clear message: financing private prison and immigration detention facility operators The GEO Group and CoreCivic is bad for business. Please bring signs specific to this action: De-ICE Citizens Bank; Citizens Bank - Stop Financing Delaney Hall; Citizens Bank - Stop Financing ICE Prisons; Citizens Bank + ICE = Human Rights Abuse; ICE Prisons Don't Strengthen Our Communities; Citizens Bank - Cut Ties With ICE Prisons; etc. Citizens Bank is bankrolling the country’s two largest prison companies that are earning record profits operating dozens of ICE detention facilities. While most major banks have cut ties with CoreCivic and The GEO Group, Citizens Bank is deepening its financial support for these companies, which are already holding more than half of the 70,000 immigrants currently in ICE detention centers across the country. The bank’s capital is supporting a deplorable ICE agenda that aims to fill detention centers with more than 100,000 people by next year. Even as it publicly touts its commitment to “strengthening our communities,” Citizens Bank has played a key role in helping The GEO Group and CoreCivic access more than $2.5 billion in financing, some of it approved earlier this year. This comes as the companies face a mountain of allegations, including forced labor and wrongful deaths due to understaffing and medical neglect at their facilities. We won't quietly stand by as Citizens continues to finance the private prison & ICE detention companies that are harming our communities. The 2019 exodus of banks from the industry in response to activism should be a reminder to us that our voices matter. Now it's time to use them. Visit www.de-icecitizensbank.org for more information and other actions you can take! Remember, we want to be in solidarity with workers including bank branch employees. Treat everyone with respect and do not harass or film employees. A core principle behind all Coalition events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment. We recommend all participants review a safety and security resource before your event, such as https://indivisi.org/safety.
