Are you looking for a peaceful, powerful way to oppose this administration’s cruel attacks on immigrants and horrific human rights abuses? If so, please join us for The Workers Circle Freedom Vigils Movement Call on May 18th at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT, where you’ll learn tips and tactics for organizing a Freedom Vigil to show solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and friends. All are welcome to join this call, whether or not you are a seasoned vigil organizer or are new to this strategy for resistance. Freedom vigils are public gatherings that shine a light on the cruel realities of detention and deportation, and demand they come to an end. They offer a way for you to build power and community. Held outside detention sites, courthouses, jails, and other public spaces, they are led by local community members like you. On the call you will hear ideas, resources, and lessons learned from people organizing Freedom Vigils across the country. There is plenty of room for creativity at these peaceful, family-friendly events; you will learn and exchange ideas to inspire you in planning your vigil- whether it's your first time or you're building on past experience. You will also learn about the support available to guide you in organizing your vigil– you are not in this alone! These vigils are multiplying and growing across the country, gaining momentum, becoming a movement, and having an impact. Please join us as we come together for this conversation about how to organize or grow your Freedom Vigils. Thank you to our event co-sponsors: MoveOn, Voto Latino, Coalition on Human Needs, League of Women Voters St. Petersburg Area, Avodah, Faithful America, Jews for a Secular Democracy, Sojourners, MIRA/ Mississippi Immigrants Rights Alliance, B'nai Jeshurun, T'ruah, and the Robert and Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center.

Protect Our Vote in 2026 — Get Involved with PA Stands Up Election Protection · Mobilize

In America, voters should pick our leaders. But MAGA politicians—and the billionaire-backed MAGA Justices on the Roberts Court—are trying to rig the rules so they can keep power even when they lose. They’re counting on confusion, intimidation, and silence. We’re choosing something else: organized people, clear plans, and public courage. PA Stands Up is preparing Election Protection efforts for 2026 so our neighbors can vote safely and our communities can be sure our elections are secure! If you’re interested in getting involved this election season, sign up here. No prior experience needed—training and support will be provided. Democracy is a practice. Let’s practice it—together.

Join us as we continue our longstanding weekly tradition of protesting in San Geronimo each Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Bring your signs or borrow one of ours! Indivisible San Geronimo Valley is proud to have had this event be the catalyst for forming one of the newest Indivisible chapters. This is a no-host event. An ad hoc group of citizen volunteers are facilitating this opportunity for Marin residents to peacefully and safely assemble in line with their First Amendment rights. A core principle behind all Marin protest events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All participants agree to assume 100% responsibility for their own safety, conduct and well-being. Please review this guide, “How To Protest Safely”.
