Das vergangene Wochenende verlängerten wir aus aktuellem Anlass um zwei Tage: Meine Frau und ich feierten gestern Perlenhochzeit. Am Untersee genossen wir bei strahlendem Sonnenschein ein paar Tage der Auszeit. Wie sich in den nächsten Posts im Laufe der Woche noch zeigen wird, tat uns dies sehr gut: Mal auszuklinken und sich gemeinsam zu erholen, ist zwischendurch das einzig Richtige.

Zu Beginn und zum Abschluss unserer Reise erlebten wir Bahnreisen, die – gelinde gesagt – etwas „speziell“ waren:

Der IC8 von Winterthur nach Romanshorn war eine S-Bahn-Doppelstock-Komposition der ersten Generation (die mit der blauen Lok). Der Lautsprecher-Durchsage in Winterthur entsprach der Zug durchaus: Geänderte Formation, kein Speisewagen und kein Familienwagen.

Auf der Seelinie zwischen Romanshorn und Arbon hatten wir es gestern auf dem Rückweg hingegen mit einem speziellen Thurbo zu tun: Einer der Züge mit hölzernem Interieur nahm uns mit.
