I’m putting my customised Flower Fairies #miniature kit in the Fan Funds auction at #Eastercon; pictures at the link. If you’ve asked if you could buy one of my kits, now’s the chance— and support a good cause. #tinythings #taff #guff

Confirmed that Cairo device does not support luminance masks.

I wonder if *any* device for R supports this feature (introduced in R4.2.0).

Hard for me to compare to a reference when there is no reference! :)

I'm using the Cairo gfx device (built into R) as the reference for the output for this new gfx device. Cairo supports all the features of the V15 graphics engine (except maybe luminance masks).

According to the Cairo device source code, groups are rendered (to a buffer) immediately within 'defineGroup' call. So they use the active mask at time of definition.

But then when 'useGroup' is called, the active mask at time of definition is also respected.

Impressive!
He's managed to use 26 words, which combined are absolutely meaningless.
