We proceed as follows:
1. Drawing on the contributions to this SI and wider literature, we highlight the EU bioeconomy's embeddedness in #colonial and #neocolonial logics of #domination and #greenextractivism.

2. We identify two broad BE policy visions, which we term as: i. Pro-economic growth, and ii. Pro-planetary boundaries - arguing that neither can address the multidimensional and intertwined crises, including global extractivism and #socioecological #inequalities and #injustices.
