Moving away from Jira to #GitLab is nice overall, but there are many papercuts.

To get rid of (hide, really) the “Similar items” feature (that could make sense as an option for a public-facing issue tracking system, but not really when you're between one and two persons on a project), the #Stylus browser extension can come in handy…

So sad to see, that with https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/577554 the “new UI” apparently will stay.

The new UI itself is nice, wasn’t there this decision to move the quick-access for Issues, MR and ToDo-items to the top right corner. :-|

This is very unintuitive, since the other parts of the navigation are on the left.

At least I can toggle to the old UI on the on-premises instances, but at some point the change will stick.
We can only ask for a toggle on these items.

Привет, на связи Ксюша, миддл-разработчик Surf. Миддлом я стала недавно. Когда я пришла в компанию, я, конечно, знала, что такое Git. Ну, по крайне мере, я так говорила. Как-то я, по чистейшей случайности, разумеется, перезаписала чужую ветку. А потом потратила часов 6, чтобы вернуть всё «как было». Благо, помог наш лид, который показал, что делать.
