RoryI'm lying here in bed getting cuddles and kind of want to reflect on my weekend at #Furggedaboutit2025...
So I think first of all, and something worth really emphasizing, was that #GSFTW was a litmus test for the #furry community and especially the #furry community in the US right now.
It asked us collectively if we were up to the task of tolerating our community spaces being eroded away and taken over by fascists and hate groups who want to see our most vulnerable parts of our community suffer or if we would take a stand and stamp out problematic aspects of our community. Tolerance vs Intolerance.
I'm proud to say that this community understood the assignment. #GSFTW was held accountable by the community and the collective action to make a safe space in the wake of the dereliction of responsibility we place in #furcons to be a safe space was accomplished through #furgeddaboutit.
These are interesting times and the only way we will survive them is through strong, resilient communities.

It’s a nice website that I’m happy is gaining more and more traction - it’s hard for me to take pics of myself while in #fursuit, due to my… paws… 🐾 and finding them online can be just as difficult.
If you take pics of #fursuiters at #furcons (or anywhere really) - do consider posting them to FurTrack.com, it has tagging features and helps give credits to photographers and the suiters and makers, making it easier to find and credit.

If you've ever been trying to find roommates for fur cons, I made a Telegram group and a Discord server for easily doing that since ConRoomies is dead.
The TG group is pretty active and I've just appointed some more admins so we're ready for an influx on Telegram and can get the Discord server more active as well.

Tyla CookeI feel conflicted on the #BLFC discourse. There are absolutely people that just can't go anymore if they insist on keeping it on weekdays, but I see more than a few people that are saying "Finally, I can get time off to go to a con!" One prominent #furcon being on weekdays won't stop the growth of our fandom of course. But then, I'm saying that as someone who's not anywhere near Reno. #furry #furcons #furrycons
You can't sit there and say masks didn't work at #furcons to prevent #COVID when there's quite a number of furries that went to cons prior to mask requirements being dropped that never got COVID and plenty that are getting it at cons now (some multiple times from various cons) that mask requirements have been dropped.
