Reach that point again where I do not want to GM anything. I have ideas and interests, but when I think about the worked needed to do it and the social labor of organizing the game, blech.

I really need to be a player sometime. Disliking all the effort placed in running things for decades but rarely getting to sit back and just be a player (which I still prep for, but it is far less intense).

I built a thing for #daggerheart GM's. https://nowfearthis.app is an encounter builder and tracker. Add any adversary or encounter from the SRD, modify them however you like, and keep track of HP, Stress, and Conditions for multiple instances. Track Fear between sessions, and group encounters by campaign if desired.

You can save all your data in a straightforward JSON format. If you've homebrewed some fun adversaries, you can export all your custom statblocks and share them with others to import.

It's free and open source and works entirely offline (you can download from https://codeberg.org/sandyarmstrong/nowfearthis and run your own copy if you prefer, it's just standard HTML/JS). No accounts, no cookies, no tracking.

I'm using it for the games I run and it's been super helpful. I hope it can help you out too. Let me know if you run into any issues or think of ways to improve. The next big thing I'm adding is support for Countdowns. Maybe I'll make it prettier too. Enjoy!

Sometimes I wonder if my players have gotten too good at system mastery in Pathfinder. It can be increasingly difficult to challenge them in combat encounters and sometimes the numbers just get insane very, very quickly. But then, I step back a moment and see they're having fun and lean into the ridiculousness. Number go up, bad guy go down, laughs and smiles all around!
