Looking at the results, I think this does support the idea that maybe replies to followers-only posts should be automatically private mentions?

Generally speaking, when you post a followers-only post, who do you expect to see replies from?
Anyone out there use Followers-only posts? How do you use them, what did you hope to get out of that, and what do you get in practice?
I'm trying to get a sense of what the patterns of use are for Followers-only posting, what people want them to do (or prevent), and to what degree that works out.

Fireside Fedi is an attempt to learn more about folks within the Fediverse.
followers collection of the top-level post author being permitted to see a) the top-level post, b) any comments on the top-level post and c) any replies to comments in the first place. This would make sure that nobody who isn't intended as part of the audience will ever be able to see this content, also by making it technically impossible to repost/boost/repeat/share/otherwise forward anything in the conversation. But hardly anything in the Fediverse has the all-encompassing permissions system that's required to achieve this.@jupiter_rowland lol...
People having problems if their posts and content can be pointed at are the weirdest of them all.
