@HerraBRE For over 20 years, FOSS has done very little to protect developers' intellectual property, other than trumpeting the GPL. Many executives have heard of copyright but not of the GPL.
Code has been 'stolen' since day one; it's just that there are now tools to hoover up code on an industrial scale.
If only #FSF could do more. 🤷🏻♂️
