Plan to ditch flu tracking too...
Hey folks. It's Monday which is Flutracking day. This wonderful initiative will only take thirty seconds of your time, each Monday. Just half a minute.
The bigger the sample, the more accurate the data. They always appreciate more contributors so why not sign up today?
One of the best things I did last year was join the online #FluTracking team.
Each week, I receive an email asking if I've had any symptoms of #COVID19 or flu, and if I've had any #COVID19 or flu vaccinations.
The data is secure, anonymous and really helps track how respiratory illness is behaving in the community.
If you're in Australia or New Zealand, you can join up here:

Feel free to boost, thanks!
Here's some community science that's worth supporting. FluTracking monitors flu and other respiratory illnesses
Taking part involves less than 30 seconds, once a week. It's easy peasy.
Interesting summary of survey data about influenza, COVID, and other communicable respiratory illnesses in Australia during 2023.
This info is from https://info.flutracking.net/ —there's more info on the FluTracking website, and details on how to sign-up to the voluntary survey to help their research.
I've made a transcription of infographic and put it in the image alt-text.
If you are doing Flutracking you will likely be asked soon whether you'd like to take a break until next autumn ("flu season").
I'm told that it's worthwhile to _not_ take a break, but to continue to do the weekly surveys through the summer if you can. I think this is especially true when it's also tracking COVID, which is currently rising in Aotearoa/NZ.
