Angus Andrea Grieve-SmithIt's May 7 and #NYC has not reported a single #COVID death in all of April. If we don't get any late reports I think this will be the first month without a #COVID19 death since March 2020!
#Wastewater concentrations for April are in and they're also down, as are case counts for COVID, the #flu and #RSV.
#COVIDIsNotOver and I'll be monitoring the case and wastewater counts. If they start trending up I'll take more precautions again!
And from now on I'll always #WearAMask in doctors' offices!

Helen Branswell#Flu season is over but #CDC was alerted last wk to 7 more kids who died from flu. Six were from this past season, bringing the total to date to 155. It will grow becoz these deaths are often reported on a delay, as the 7th death shows; it occurred in March 2025. The 2024-25 total is now a jaw-dropping, unbelievably tragic 297 children.
Most of these kids were not vaxed.

One more #COVID death has been added to the week ending March 7 in #NYC, bringing the total for March to 14, but there have still been 0 #COVID19 deaths reported for April!
All the other indicators continue to drop, for #flu and #RSV as well, including cases and emergency room visits.
I'm eating indoors sometimes and singing karaoke, but #COVIDIsNotOver so I still eat outdoors often, and #WearAMask in elevators, trains, buses, planes, supermarkets, pharmacies and doctors' offices!
