Sabrina KirschnerIn 🇧🇪 zu arbeiten ist im Oktober/ November definitiv ein Vorteil, gefühlt gibts mehr Feiertage als in 🥨. Heute hatte ich deshalb Zeit, mich um meine #EnvHist / #EnvHum / #EnvTech / #histodons Dissertation zu kümmern. Nachdem ich zuletzt mit ziemlich komplizierten #Rechtstexten gearbeitet habe, gabs heute Quellen zur #Organisationssoziologie im Bereich des paulistanischen #saneamentobásico. Zwar auch auf 🇧🇷, aber einfacher zu lesen. Arbeitsort heute: eine #Foodhalle in 🇳🇱 mit Limonade.

My current project deals with the history of #creosote and railway #maintenance cultures. The material history of this coal tar oil – used until today for wood impregnation of railway ties & utility poles – combines research perspectives from the #histtech (such as on #maintenance and #repair) with #envhist and #materialhistory. Its name is connected today with dozens of contaminated land sites, tons of hazardous waste, and burning #environmentaljustice issues.
