So how are people doing game save sync with emulated games?

I'm running Windows on my machine ATM so keep that in mind. I'd assume it's some Syncthing sorta deal.

After letting stuff transfer from the external hard drive to the Steam Deck overnight and fixing a couple minor issues, I believe everything is working now and I've turned my Deck into an over the top retro games museum. I even got the Amiga CD-32 and some OG Xbox stuff in there. I find this absurdly cool. #SteamDeck #EmuDeck

My other project yesterday was reinstalling Emudeck on my Steam Deck. I don't recall having many issues the first time around, but this time was stymied by, of all things, getting a USB hard drive formatted in a way both the Deck and my Windows box could actually read it. I find this to be an especially confusing task on the Linux side, where there's only partition options, not just a simple format function. #steamDeck #emudeck

If you are on a multi-user #SteamDeck or other handheld using #SteamOS (or similar distros, like #Bazzite deck or #CachyOS handheld edition) and want external applications like emulators to take the Steam user into account, you can make use of the $SteamAppUser environment variable. I now pass this as `--profile $SteamAppUser` inside #EmuDeck launch scripts for emulators that support user profiles for save game separation.

@kurau I use it mostly for app-driven backups of stuff, where Nextcloud is a backup choice next to Google Drive and the like.

It's where my Obsidian notes are stored.

I'm trying to find a not-$48/yr way (looking at you, EmuDeck) to use it for PC & SteamDeck syncing of videogame emulation stuff.
