I'm sure most of you here have heard about Cemu's woes over the last few days. The AppImage and Ubuntu zip assets of Cemu 2.6 on the official GitHub was "compromised by a pro-Russian threat actor"

Bad news for those who emulate the #Nintendo Wii U

But know what wasn't in danger? My fav #Linux #emulation software for the #SteamDeck - #RetroDECK

I wrote a small article with the devs from RetroDECK chiming in, if you're curious at all:

My very favorite #emulation and #RetroGaming option for the #SteamDeck has released the new blog post detailing what is coming next for #RetroDECK

May 2026: Exposure of Fools shows how if you're someone (like me!) who might want to install an external component, you'll be able to with ease. Their example was using Libre Office!

@mohab

It certainly isn't the most portable! But oh my gosh I love my #SteamDeck!

From indies to AA and AAA titles, emulating everything from ancient consoles to #PS2 and Switch (using my fav emulation option, #RetroDECK of course!)...it does so much!

But...not the most carryable :)

Maybe look into retro handhelds if you're hoping to find a super slim and more carry-ish option?

I just love the icons on the folders when I use #RetroDECK on my #SteamDeck

Naturally half the fun (for me) with emulation is just...organizing ROM collections, curating what I love, choosing themes and scraping

Trying various #PlayStation games at the moment, #PS3 specifically :)
