@vmbrasseur they do have a history of pushing tidy-up releases, but it’s unlikely they’ll offer a “revert to previous UI” toggle or any other way to significantly customise the #UI / #UX

#Apple is nothing if not obnoxiously opinionated about their design choices & for a long time (since forever? 🤔 it’s been ages since I’ve played with Macintosh-era gear) have been of the “we know best & you should learn to embrace our choices” school of user choice 🤪

“Embrace the suck.”

This is a phrase that I use a lot in regards to hiking and backpacking. When I use it I mean that despite your best efforts things may not always go your way. Yesterday I planned a ten mile hike near Augusta. It is one of my favorite sections full of meadows of wildflowers. It ended up raining during my hike.

Were my shoes soaked? Yep. Was I chilled? Yes. Did I keep moving forward? Also yes. Because that is what you do when life doesn’t go your way. You keep moving forward.

Do you know who else has to embrace the suck? Kids with cancer. Kids with heart issues. Kids that are facing dire circumstances.

I only had to face some rain and wet shoes. Those kids keep moving forward. So will I. So should you.
