Elk ist eigentlich ein ganz wunderbares Werkzeug für Friendica. Es hat jedoch einen entscheidenden Nachteil. Damit kannst du nur Beiträge bis maximal 500 Zeichen schreiben. Dadurch sinkt der Nutzwert leider ganz erheblich 😟.

Es geht nicht darum, auf Kürze getrimmt zu werden. Es geht darum, nicht beschränkt zu werden, wenn es mal 10 Zeichen mehr sein müssen.

Elk spotting again yesterday. The elk was standing at a small open outlaying land surrounded by forest somewhat higher than the road which cut through the top of the height.

I'm surprised, because I think I've seen #Elk support Markdown in other posts. I also thought Markdown support would be more common than that.

So I've been learning about #statecharts because they seem to be a good way for modelling position change in institutions/organizations and I'm a #governance nerd

I was using #mermaid JS statediagram, because they support #NFA https://mermaid.js.org They also support #ELK layout, which seems to kick #dagre butt. But they don't support all config options... and I want.

Which leads me to ask: Does anyone have experience with #cytoscape? https://js.cytoscape.org/

Hot 竹 : #phanpysocial way of displaying Replies in context (a minima one post up the thread) should be the standard. Otherwise displaying replies in TLs is useless.

#Nicolium and #Elk are the only Masto web front-ends to do it afaik as I know (well most of the times but not always ̶I̶ ̶d̶u̶n̶n̶o̶ ̶w̶h̶y̶ now I know why, see the thread for @mkljczk's explanation...)
