Oh, neat!
@overlordspock @keyboards @Hawkesnest No, it’s not an Apple keyboard, because it’s a prototype #Newton #eMate 300 that used a third party keyboard for development and industrial design testing.
Here’s the source of the image (and more details about the prototype.)

Oh, neat!
As of now, you may also access the UNNA.org sites via #HTTPS in addition to standard #HTTP!
Go ahead, try it out:
Newfangled, huh!
Don't worry, we're not taking away the venerable HTTP connectivity, nor will we be automatically redirecting any connections to HTTPS. After all, we need to be able to connect from our #AppleNewton #MessagePad and #eMate!
Designed and printed a 4 x AA NiMH battery tray for the Apple eMate. This lets me change the batteries out quickly because they're not soldered, welded, or wrapped together. The bottom of the tray is open so you can push the batteries out easily. The fit should be snug.

Twenty eight years ago today, both the #eMate 300 and 20th Anniversary #Macintosh were awarded best of category prizes in I.D. Magazine’s annual design review.

Let’s play!
My final project for #MARCHintosh 2025. Sitting on the couch downloading an app to my #Newton #eMate over wifi from my workshop server that is 5 miles away on a different zone on #globaltalk.
Seems simple by today’s standards but that took a lot of retro tech to make it happen.
2x LC475 (AIR routers)
1x Original Airport Basestation
1x clamshell iBook to setup BS
1x rebuilt eMate battery plus eMate hinge repair
1x PCMCIA wifi card that would support #appletalk
That is a Mic drop for me.
