Newton “Cadillac” Prototype

A functioning prototype of the larger, tablet-style Newton. Sonny Hung also has images of the OS running on this device in this set. This item is part of a collection obtained from Russ Uzes, October 2004. Russ originally purchased it on eBay from a company called Mac-Pro Systems. When asked about the device’s history, they told him … “We just found the Cadillac in a box of stuff in the office. We have no idea where it came from.”

Интересный был подход к #usability у #apple в 90х
Смотрим на дно #eMate300:

1. Есть беджик, куда можно сунуть id-карточку, видимо, чтобы каждый ученик мог быстро из кучи свой 💻 найти. Допустим
2. А вот крепление под штатив зачем? По мысли создателей так работать удобно? Типа мольберта?

Какое соблазнительное предложение!

Кажется, мне нужен ещё один переходник, SD → CF, ибо мой не лезет в этот адаптер. У меня как раз SD карта на 32 mb валялась без дела…

Нас ждут дальнейшие приключения, возможно успешные: приехал адаптер #CompactFlash → #PCMCIA
Жаль, что у #eMate300 только один слот: или #WiFi, или flash 😩
На крайний случай в хозяйстве есть ещё два ноутбука с #PCcard
