Was it worth it? As long that it has a touch screen and can do some type of 3D gaming I think it does it for me at a budget in 2026.

DS lite doesn't officially play games online anymore which is great for me, no monthly fees.

However, original DS titles shipped with the complete game on the cartridges.

The two types of ds game i'm looking for on the DS.

Full fledged games, like Lego Star Wars the complete saga. (to get a modern console like experience on a budget handheld device. Surprisingly works well.

Then there are, mini game based games. Why? if I can have it set to play mini games in a random rotating order, this takes my attention away from social media.

I actually spend less time on social media thanks to games like #Sonic and #Mario at the #Olympic games.

#Vodafone #DSLite hat mir mal wieder ein Bein gestellt: Konnte von einem Standort eines Freundes meinen heimischen Server (Vodafone-Kabel, richtiger Dual Stack) via #WireGuard nur mit einem Bruchteil der Geschwindigkeit erreichen (ca. 3 Mbit/s). War über einen längeren Zeitraum konstant gleich beschissen. In umgekehrter Richtung war es bei Transfers ähnlich.

Tja, was hat geholfen? MTU auf 1300 setzen (war auf 1420 gesetzt). Immer dasselbe, ey! 😵‍💫 Hatten wir übrigens auch so mit #OpenVPN-Verbindungen auf der Arbeit von Dual-Stack-Lite-Anschlüssen wegen Home-Office. Aber da musste auch erst mal drauf kommen... denke vernünftiges Erreichbarkeit via #IPv6 hätte auch geholfen.

⚠️ Also: Habt ihr Internet via TV-Kabel (mit DS-Lite) und eure Netzverbindung lahmt oder ist unzuverlässig? Versucht es mit einer niedrigen MTU.

Finally got around to testing more games on the NDS lite. It looks like the left bumper isn’t working. Anyone have experience with working on one? Continuity looks good, no corrosion, everything is aligned, and I hit it with compressed air both with and without assembly. None of the above helped. Switches are cheap but would require resoldering.

Anyone know if those DS Lite replacement touch screens on Amazon are any good? Mine is a little scratched but works quite well. The only "problem" I have with it right now is a slight scraping sound when I drag the stylus in some games. I wonder if it's feasible to get a good replacement. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D3RSJS3

Hier ist doch bestimmt jemand, der Erfahrungen mit #Tailscale hat.

Da unser Provider #DSlite nutzt, brauche ich bisher einen #openVPN Dienst um meinen #WireGuard Server und andere Dienste von außen zu erreichen.

Klar ist mir schon, dass mit Tailscale alle registrierten Geräte miteinander verbunden werden.

Aber hat das Netz dann auch einen öffentlich zugänglichen Einstieg? Falls ich mal von einem anderen Gerät zugreifen möchte.

Tja, da wollte ich von Drillisch-DSL wegen DS-Lite weg (normalerweise kein Problem, aber mit Arbeitgeber-VPN machts Probleme), aber der Wettbewerb ruft ja irrsinnige Preise auf. Congstar wäre noch was, aber die werden größtenteils das Telekom-Netz nehmen und deren Peering muss (immer noch) unterirdisch sein. Wenn Abends nicht mal Discord vernünftig läuft - nein Danke.
