Maar de grootste opgave is om buiten Europa maatregelen te treffen om te voorkomen dat mensen naar de EU komen, zei de minister na afloop van de vergadering van EU-ministers van Migratie.
'Het migratiepact zorgt ervoor dat we in heel Europa op dezelfde wijze de asielprocedure doorlopen en dat we heel snel mensen weer laten terugkeren als ze hier niet mogen komen', aldus Van den Brink. Na vijftien jaar discussie is er vanaf 12 juni 'echt een nieuw migratiestelsel'. Hij noemt het pact 'de grootste hervorming ooit voor het Europese asielbeleid en de grootste hervorming voor Nederland sinds de afgelopen 25 jaar'."

I looked at the full report. They are actually proposing managed degrowth which they contrast with (unmanaged, though they don't say that) aggregate degrowth. Their contrast of sufficiency with degrowth is disingenuous: sufficiency is an integral part of #degrowth.
It looks a bit naive in that the needed factors are unlikely to come together in the way needed.As JH says, it won't happen without struggle. Even then I'm very pessimistic.
How the world can avoid millions going hungry when supply chains collapse
Is this really a critique of #degrowth ? Or is that a very narrow interpretation of what degrowth advocates are saying? @urlyman @markhburton @ChrisMayLA6 ?
