SEP adelanta fin de clases por «calor» y Mundial de futbol

La dependencia federal indicó que continuará evaluando las condiciones climáticas y académicas para garantizar el funcionamiento del sistema educativo nacional.

La Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) modificó el calendario escolar 2025-2026 y adelantó el cierre de clases al próximo 5 de junio, un mes y diez días antes de la fecha originalmente prevista. El titular de la dependencia, Mario Delgado, informó que la medida respondió a la intensa ola de calor que afectó al país y a la realización del Mundial de futbol que iniciará el 11 de junio.

El acuerdo se tomó durante la LXVI Reunión Nacional Plenaria Ordinaria 2026 del Consejo Nacional de Autoridades Educativas (Conaedu), organismo integrado por autoridades educativas de todo el país.

La SEP precisó que la modificación al Calendario Escolar también atendió solicitudes planteadas previamente por al menos 10 entidades federativas. La dependencia federal indicó que las condiciones climáticas previstas para junio y julio obligaron a replantear las actividades académicas para proteger a estudiantes y personal educativo. El funcionario federal explicó que el ajuste también consideró peticiones presentadas en reuniones de trabajo con el Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación (SNTE).

Ajustan calendario escolar

Durante la reunión plenaria, Mario Delgado señaló que las actividades administrativas de cierre concluirán el 12 de junio y no en julio como estaba programado inicialmente. La Secretaría de Educación Pública informó que el Consejo Técnico Escolar (CTE), previsto originalmente para el 29 de mayo, se realizará el 8 de junio. Las autoridades educativas señalaron que el nuevo esquema mantendrá el cumplimiento de los programas académicos establecidos para el ciclo lectivo.

La SEP informó que el receso escolar terminará el 10 de agosto para que las comunidades educativas retomen actividades durante esa misma semana. El regreso incluirá sesiones intensivas del Consejo Técnico Escolar y trabajos de preparación para el siguiente ciclo académico. Las autoridades educativas indicaron que estas actividades permitirán reorganizar contenidos y fortalecer estrategias pedagógicas antes del inicio formal de clases.

El calendario modificado estableció que entre el 17 y el 28 de agosto se aplicarán dos semanas oficiales de fortalecimiento de aprendizajes. La SEP indicó que este periodo estará enfocado en reforzar conocimientos y atender rezagos académicos entre niñas, niños y adolescentes. El gobierno federal precisó que estas acciones buscarán garantizar continuidad educativa pese al ajuste extraordinario del calendario escolar.

Mundial influye decisiones

El arranque oficial del ciclo escolar 2026-2027 quedó programado para el 31 de agosto en todas las escuelas públicas y privadas incorporadas al Sistema Educativo Nacional (SEN). La SEP señaló que la reorganización permitirá cumplir los objetivos educativos sin afectar el desarrollo de los planes de estudio. Las autoridades educativas indicaron que el ajuste respondió también al contexto internacional derivado del Mundial de futbol que tendrá sedes en México.

La dependencia federal subrayó que las entidades federativas participaron en la construcción de la propuesta aprobada por el Conaedu. El acuerdo incluyó evaluaciones sobre temperaturas extremas y riesgos asociados para la comunidad estudiantil. La SEP explicó que la modificación buscó prevenir afectaciones derivadas de las altas temperaturas previstas para las próximas semanas. –sn–

Meet a middle schooler yesterday who uses his 3D printer to make custom parts for his dirt bike and for sale. He noticed I was carrying around a 3D test print and asked me about it. This led to him explaining his work to me and giving me some tips. What a legend!

Now, where does he go in the traditional pathway at school? Even a traditional #CTE pathway seems a bit rigid for his skillset, so I wonder where he ends up. Maybe school isn’t designed specifically to address issues like this, but couldn’t we try to? #TechEducation

I should mention that I was at the local middle school at the time because I coach robotics there. Never can be too careful in your wording these days. That said, it is a much nicer building than I am usually in.

Wow sqlite has CTE queries!
This improves readability a lot.

I've used CTE queries in clickhouse before and it was a charm. Especially in combination with our nasty python f-string formatting back then.

Sqlx does not seem to like the single row paradigm too much though.
But for now implementing the From trait into transfer objects isn't too bad. At least the query is precise and easy to understand.
