The *ability to function as part of a network* is shut off (by forcing repeated takedowns of the wifi connection between WAP and camera) but that is very different from shutting the device off. The latter takes a single event, just like flipping a light switch; de-auth attacks must be sustained/ongoing to achieve the desired result.

I think the very last detail I remember from the Kingkiller Chronicle has now vanished from my memory. Volume 2 was published in 2011 and the third, The Doors of Stone, has not yet appeared.
