What we're seeing is the logical conclusion of that model. Resetting the clock once again without changing anything will mostly end the same way.

One disconnect in particular that annoys me are self-immiserating North Americans that immediately associate personal worth with #HomeOwnership, despite it being blatantly obvious that buying a home in our #CarDependency-fucked territory with the #corposcum-manipulated real-estate market is at best choosing a fate of ruinous debt or just plainly impossible.

Also, everyone owning a detached home doesn't scale and inherently implies massive environmental devastation.
