Sextortion bij jongens stijgt fors. Een afperser, een naaktbeeld, een eis om geld binnen een uur. De schaamte is groter dan de paniek.

Drie signalen voor mentoren en ouders: plotseling stil na een online contact, telefoon snel wegklikken, onverwacht vragen om geld of cadeaubonnen.

Geen verhoor, wel een opening: "Dit overkomt veel jongens. Je kunt het bij mij neerleggen."

Sextortion - iemand online chanteren met naaktbeelden - neemt steeds ernstiger vormen aan. Dat zeggen het Openbaar Ministerie en Offlimits tegen RTL Nieuws. Daders eisen steeds meer van hun slachtoffers, tot het perverse aan toe. Ze maken meer slachtoffers én hun slachtoffers zijn steeds jonger, soms nog geen 12 jaar oud. De organisaties roepen op tot alertheid bij ouders, verzorgers en docenten.
