Eeeyyy #classicists of Twitter: is there a more "respected" translation of Sophocles' Antigone? I have the Watling, and the Fitts & Fitzgerald (as well as adaptations by Ali Smith, Sara Uribe, Damien Ryan, @[email protected], Seamus Heaney, Brecht, Anne Carson, Anouilh, and Zizek.
Not seeing many #Classicists on Mastodon, compared to, say, medievalists, book history people, or 18th-c.-ists. Am I just not tapped into the right networks or is there some reason they haven't made the jump?
