My grandfather passed away this past week and I’m kinda obsessed with the idea of sharing some stories.

I grew up not even knowing this subs name, just the way my mother and grandmother would tell me that an accident changed my grandfather back in the day. He was a senior chief electricians mate, and he was supposed to be on this patrol, but he was hungover and asked another chief to go in his stead. He never seemed to recover from survivors guilt and we were advised to never ask. I found this stored away under his bed.
