According to The Telegraph, all British nuclear submarines are undergoing maintenance, and new submarines will not join the fleet for several years.

Friend's brother who worked on subs for over 20 years and then worked as a civilian was displaying symptoms of parkinsons. Regular docs tried to treat it but got nowhere. He went to the VA where a doc *immediately* noted it wasnt parkinsons it was radiation poisoning. How did he know this immediately? Because hes seen so many cases of it.
The Navy knows how to protect service members, it just doesnt.
Now friends brother is currently paralyzed with extreme neurological symptoms that there really isnt any treatment for.
