Up horrendously early as supposedly there is a battery engineer coming round at some unknown point today, and I had 14 miles to run per my training plan (actually I had 7 miles at half marathon pace, but switched it with Sunday's long run).
A way to break it down and fit it in early was to run up to the Downs (including up Bridge Valley Road at 06:00) for some balloon spotting. I did a quick lap and saw the first balloon appear out of the trees from the Downs, but with the wind direction opted to jog over to the Observatory (which was much busier), then jogged it back through the University quarter, down Park Street and the long way home, picking up some more
#GromitUnleashed sculptures.
Home by 08:08, and knackered. Photos of hot air balloons never do them justice, let's hope for more mass ascents this year
