Bin heute über ein Video von #Veritasium über LEDs, insbesondere blaue LEDs gestolpert.

Dabei musste ich an eine Geschichte aus meiner Ausbildungszeit als ENAE* denken. Da hatten wir ein Modell gebaut, dass einen Schleuse per LEDs darstellen sollte. Und für das Wasser wurden blaue LEDs verwendet.

Das ganze war gar nicht so spektakulär - ausser, dass es ca 50 - 100 blaue LEDs waren. Und das waren wohl zu viele, ...

This is a great video on #LEDs specifically what went in to engineering a #blueled. Nakamura had so much confidence in himself. History will show how important his tenacity was to mitigating #co2 emissions. #climatechange

Very "enlightening" (ha ha!) video on the #development of the #blueLED at Nichia, and how we very nearly never got it thanks to Nichia's new CEO, who judging by the tale was/is a risk-averse twit who carries a grudge.
