After a few clear nights on the Elephant's Trunk, I had one more clear night before a week of rain so I went after a bright target that would look decent even with just a night's worth of data on it. The Western Veil Nebula (aka the Witch's Broom) is pretty bright object, and we haven't had a chance to image the Veil the past two years, so I gave it a shot. I got 3.85 hours on it with the Newtonian, and it turned out pretty good.

Last month me and my grandpa both went after M106 and both images look awesome. Lots of small details can be seen in the bright core of Leonard's image, and a surprising amount of detail can be seen when you crop into my widefield image, even of the smaller, nearby galaxies. This was a fun galaxy to shoot, and many more are coming very soon!

104x240s lights (6.93 hours), darks, flats, and biases stacked in Deep Sky Stacker, and edited with Siril and GraXpert.

Walk Potential map for #BloomingtonMN using the latest tweaks to the algorithm.

This iteration should better account for the walk potential of very large places, like huge parks. Very dense features like bus stops are also handled better.
