There's MSM inadequacy and bias, and then there's bioterrorism that is deployed to harm:

@peter these companies, including #Anthropic are playing both the hero and the villain in the same script of regulatory theater which is a microcosm of the #AI industry’s much broader deception. Publicly they warn of doom (existential risk, #bioterrorism) while privately they lobby against oversight to preserve profits. The bioterrorism research he cited? That’s potentially “dual-use” justification for the what they are already doing with fascist #Palantir (a company whose entire business model is surveillance and military applications).

My last paper for my master's was a stepwise description of how I would perform a chemical or biological attack. My analysis showed agricultural #bioterrorism as the most logical choice. I'm sure if I'd written that paper in my daily work, it would've been classified.
