ベトナム政府は今年7月から、虹彩スキャン、音声サンプル、DNAを含む生体認証情報を身分証明目的(ID)で集めると発表した。新型の市民IDカード(Citizen ID card)が発行され、生体データはナショナルデータベースに集積される。カードは14歳未満には強制ではない。生体情報収集後のカードでは指紋情報は省略。

*ベトナムで生体認証をIDカードに取り込む試みが成功するか不明ですが、マイナンバーカードも近い将来、こういう方向を目指しえいるのでしょう。
