Last night, Berkeley City Council voted to place an amended version of the Tenant Protection and Right to Organize Act on the 2024 ballot.

The measure expands protections & make it easier to collectively bargain. Details in thread

What's the deal with hashtags again? The local servers should properly push the established civic hashtags to other servers. That's #alamtg #oakmtg #berkmtg and I'm not actually sure about #sf or #sfba (ok those seem high traffic).

#cawater and #delta would be nice too. And things like #bart #actransit (no traffic on that one?) and...?

This commenter says UC is adding too many students (true), and that only the trades are benefiting (WTF?), and that the university should use its land in the hills to build dorms (wildfires??). None of that is a viable solution and all if it is just avoiding building a some apartment building on Blake St that has been discussed at at #BerkMtg before. What a waste of time and money.
