I've just discovered #AssistiveAccess mode on #iOS, also called #SeniorMode, that profoundly simplifies the #iPhone's UI for those suffering from cognitive decline like #dementia who need a mobile phone but can't grok its standard interface. You select the apps that you want to be accessible, set whether to present apps in a list, like the familiar but much less capable #Jitterbug, or in a grid, which contacts can be called, etc. May be a game changer.

#iOS #accessibility question: is it possible to use dictation or voice messages in Assistive Access? If so, how? I couldn’t find any way to do so. If not, why not (and could it be added? FB13494777)

I have a family member that I think could benefit from using Assistive Access but she sends most messages using Dictation and that means it’s not really an option
