Interesting #accessibility note from today's #AppleEvent: The "new" double-tap feature for the #AppleWatch, which allows you to select items using a quick double-pinch gesture, appears to be an adaptation of the already existing gesture that was part of the #AssistiveTouch feature designed for #Apple Watch users with mobility issues.

This week, I had a presentation for school.

To change the shown slide, I used my Apple Watch with Assistive Touch: to go to the next slide, I pinched once, to go to the previous one, I pinched twice.

I didn’t need to hold anything in my hands, and I didn’t have to touch the keyboard.

To do that, I used #AssistiveTouch’s support for shortcuts. The shortcut talked to a web server I made on my laptop, which allowed me to simulate the arrow keys.
