Could anyone recommend a solution for photo storage like Google Photos?

Ideally something that I can have my mobile photos automatically synced to, has various grouping options (dates, albums, etc) and decent load times when locating non-local files.

Happy to pay for a solution that's privacy-friendly... Tresorit is good for syncing but, I presume due to the e2ee, it's so slow when trying to view things that I feel like I don't know what photos I have.

How do you build an email list without using those crazy online tools meant to take and sell data? How do you do it and keep it localized? Any ideas? Or is Kmail good enough of a tool for this? And then it's up to me to figure out how to get people to hand over their email addresses?
