I present a map type @dschep and I are calling the Fog Of War On Cars. It will mask of your area that isn't within 50m of bicycle parking as determined by OpenStreetMap data.

Here's what it looks like for Redmond WA, the supposed "Bicycle Capital of the Northwest".

Pan the map to your town an hit run. Let me know if you find anything interesting!

You can add a banner to your Android app with https://github.com/woheller69/FreeDroidWarn.

Or, make a pull request or open an issue on your favourite app!

#FOSS #FLOSS #Android #FDroid #Software

The #FDroid website has a new banner on top to remind visitors that #Google did not change course and #Android will be locked-down in under 200 days.

If you care about the freedom to control your devices and care about the privacy of you data, please contact your representative and make your voice heard.

https://keepandroidopen.org/ (thanks @marcprux) has the resources to guide you.

We know users will rarely visit the site so the Client(s) will get a banner soon too.

Thank you for your support!

Keep Android Open

Advocating for Android as a free, open platform for everyone to build apps on.

I'm installing some smart devices and it occurred to me that it would be a security risk if the #FOSS projects I rely on were discontinued. That's why I started making monthly donations to the devs who keep those projects alive. I'm still saving money, while directly supporting the maintenance and continued development of software I depend on. Everybody wins!

Consider supporting both your local food bank and your local project maintainer if you have the means this holiday season.

20 years ago, normal people avoided technology and techies would jump on the newest gadgets as soon as they could

now, normal people buy smart toasters & coffee mugs while every techie I know is on the verge of retreating to the forest

I love a good changelog.

How would you map an Indigenous Sacred Fire in OpenStreetMap? I want to avoid a generic leisure=firepit tag so it is not misused. I am struggling to find appropriate ways to tag it as a cultural landmark.
