I'm listening to some artists on youtube talk about the state of social media while I'm working, and they had a question from their fans about whether Mastodon was a good future social media.

They both said: "I have no idea what that is, so no"

Which is totally fair and true for a vast majority of industry artists still.

It made me ponder.
