Just finished Anthracite (Anthracite: Le mystère de la secte des Écrins), a neat little six part TV series. It's a mystery with occult trappings, quirky and fresh.

Despite the mediocre Rotten Tomatoes ratings, I'd highly recommend this one. The story is ... convoluted, so it isn't for casual in-the-background watching.

Typically I cannot watch dubbed movies/series. Some combination of poor quality dubbing, sync, etc. makes it intolerable for me.

However, the new series #Anthracite on Netflix is one of the best dub-jobs I've ever seen. To boot, it's pretty darn good.

#Anthracite, „französischer Mysterythriller“ derzeit bei Netflix. Nach Folge 5 von 6 steht fest, dass dieser gequirlte Gurkenquatsch nicht mehr zu retten ist. Wenn da irgendwas Mystery ist, dann nur, was in den Köppen der Filmemacher so vor sich geht. Ich stell mir die Redaktionssitzung vor:
„Hey Leute, das ist doch Quatsch, da passt doch nichts zusammen.“
„Ach komm, stell dich nicht so an, merkt eh keiner, wir nennen es einfach Mystery“.
